WHAT IS EBRU
Ebru is UNESCO heritage listed traditional Turkish art of water marbling, creating colourful patterns by dropping and splashing paints onto a tray of water-based viscous solution with special brushes.
ARTIST
Hi! I'm Eda, a professional ebru artist, based in Adelaide. I completed Masters of Digital Media/College of Arts-Victoria University in 2018. I have a Bachelor’s background in Sociology and eight years of experience in education sector. I started to work on Ebru art early in 2015 which stole my heart immediately and have been practicing it since then.
EBRU WORKSHOPS
Our two-hour workshop will commence with a brief introduction of the basic materials that are used to practice ebru (marbling) art. We will then continue with learning the history of ebru, the techniques and application process of traditional and modern ebru patterns.
