Join me for a fun and creative workshop where you will learn how to make a stunning marbled leather journal from scratch!

Create a one-of-a-kind marbled leather handmade journal that no one else will have!

You will get to choose from a variety of colours and patterns to create your own unique marbled leather cover for your journal.You will also learn how to bind your journal pages using a simple and elegant stitching technique.

You will leave with a beautiful and personalized journal that you can use for writing, sketching, or whatever you like! You can also give it as a gift to someone special. (Retail value of $100)

Enjoy a relaxing and rewarding experience of crafting something unique and personal. No previous experience is required, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

Workshop duration: 2 hours (15min tea break included)

Cost: $135 + optional add-on ( 2ndLeather journal for only $35)*

Our workshop will commence with a brief history of ebru art and review of the tools & materials. We will first start practicing with a few examples of marbled patterns on paper to become familiar with the process. We will learn how to use different tools and techniques to achieve stunning effects and designs on the leather and then we will marble our genuine sheep leather piece that will cover A5 size papers (14.85 x 21cm paper size / 16 x 23cm leather size)

While our leather pieces are drying, we will have a 15-minute break to enjoy a couple beverages. I will then walk you through the sewing process to complete your journals. You will choose from a range of colourful waxed threads, suede leather cord strings and multi-coloured wooden beads.

You can then proudly display your journal at home or give it as a gift to someone special after applying a protective varnish.

*As an add-on, you can choose to make another journal. If you’ve purchased this add-on or decided to purchase during the workshop, you will have an additional leather piece to marble along with other materials to complete your second journal at home.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your workshop registration, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. This is because I must prepare materials and reserve spaces for each workshop, which has a very limited capacity. I apologise for any inconvenience, but I cannot issue refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop date. In that case, you can send someone in your place.
